GregHouse
Hi. I know that HQPlayer Desktop does not support Windows 7. But if anyone wants to venture into trying to make it work on Windows 7, Welcome to the topic. I installed HQPlayer Desktop 4 on Windows 7 without any problems. When I run the program, the error message appears: The procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll. It seems it's about the DirectX version, Windows 7 does not use DirectX version 12 (D3D12). I tried using the dxvk and vkd3d-proton, programs that "convert" the DirectX to Vulkan, widely used in games, especially on Linux. The dxvk is for D3D8, 9, 10 and 11 to Vulkan. The vkd3d-proton is for D3D12 to Vulkan. I extracted all the DLL files from dxvk and vkd3d-proton to the program's executable folder. Now the error has changed: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005) Is there a solution? Thank you. Link to comment
