GregHouse
Hi. How do I convert from PCM to DSD in real time in foobar? In JRiver Media Center it's very simple: DSD Studio -> Output Format -> Output Encoding = 1xDSD in native format (requires ASIO and 1xDVD capable DAC) Playback Options -> Audio -> Audio Device = My DAC [ASIO] It works perfectly. Is it possible to do this in foobar? Link to comment
koupa
https://sourceforge.net/projects/sacddecoder/files/ You install the required plugins and then in DSP page you select "DSD Processor" and configure it. Before you start configuring ensure that you can actually play DSD files through F2K. Then start messing with that DSP. It's tricky because it depends on your DAC. GregHouse 1 Link to comment
GregHouse
There are several plugins. I don't want to decode a DSD file, I want to convert from PCM to DSD in real time. I can do this with JRiver Media Center and a Topping D90 DAC. Link to comment
koupa
Foobar doesn't have the ability to play DSD files. You must install the plugin in order to do anything with these files. Jriver and audirvana include them by default. GregHouse 1 Link to comment
GregHouse
Yes, I know foobar doesn't decode DSD natively. koupa 1 Link to comment
