That's like asking someone which kid they like best! The first three albums are the most popular, Ten, Vs., and Vitalogy, but that doesn't mean they are the best fit for you. You can try Rearviewmirror the greatest hits album or Lost Dogs, the B-Sides album. Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
Superdad
Looks--and sounds--like it was a fabulous show Chris! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I had a laugh at your cable TV story at the beginning. But I don't suppose your cable box in 1984 was as primitive as what we had in our house in the late 70s. I remember--when 1981 rolled around--discovering MTV on button #24! 🤯 jcbenten 1 UpTone Audio LLC Link to comment

Popular Post semente
I really liked their first two albums but lost interest after Vitalogy. Took my youngest to see them play in Hide Park in 2022, they're still alive. Really cool gig lots of dads my age with their kids. Where should I start my exploration? 10 is one of the best first LPs of all time. See if Youtube has PJ's first appearance on SNL ... completely different to the music SNL had been showing each week. I had never heard of them until that show. I would go from start to finish in their discography, you can see their musical evolution better. As @The Computer Audiophile stated, their first albums are their most popular, but they became more experimental after that and IMO they got more interesting; But yeah, cant go wrong with Ten, Vs and Vitalogy. If anything, they have a gazillion live albums out there. With the Lightning Bolt tour they played marathon 35+ song shows, with a good combination of hits and rarities. The Seattle shows are always great. I always prefer live albums over hits any day, the sound is just more honest, and Pearl Jam even keeps those instances where they mess it up. I've seen these shows available on most streaming services, so you'll have your pick. The Computer Audiophile 1 Link to comment
