The Computer Audiophile
Anyone have an idea what these horizontal stripes are in the new 24/192 Qobuz Q Sessions album? https://www.qobuz.com/us-en/album/the-q-sessions-christian-mcbride/c4ku2vt3v36ja Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
Popular Post dmackta
@The Computer AudiophileYou busted us...that's what we call the "Solomon-Gates Line" -- it is how we inject sentiment against our competitors into Qobuz listeners unbeknownst to them. Bet you didn't know mRNA can be transmitted by digital audio? Actually that's super strange. If anybody else can replicate and offer any insight, that would be great. I was in the studio when this was recorded, there was some light mixing and mastering done, but it was all in 24/192. AudioDoctor and The Computer Audiophile 2 Link to comment

Hard to tell but likely an artifact of DSP processing during capture/processing or some noise recorded from an external device (alarms, certain video devices, etc.) The fact that there are two such lines at non-harmonic frequencies makes an external source less likely.
