So i also have a mcintosh amp ma352 and sonus faber speakers.  I had worst static ever nobody could figure out. The synergistic research power cords and conditioner fixes it. Did you try synergistic research?

If it was fixed by Synergistic Research power conditioner then it wasn't static, it was EMI.

At least it should be the first step before power conditioners. My Niagara 5000 did absolutely nothing … sold it off. Might work for others (before I get people pounding on me again) .. but was a big pile of nada for me

I applaud you sir for having the commitment to speak the truth .  Group think can lead to bad decisions.

In the end .. just wanted it to work and all the advice did nothing. Especially the “do grounding” nonsense.

Having three maxed out Ecoflows installed into the house to channel all power as we speak. Love them.

What would you recommend me for a smaller system, just one amp , dac, and streamer ?  How about for my computer that runs 3 large monitors

This guy said it was EXACTLY same as Stromtank. All this audiophile stuff is VERY suspect.  I was literally inquiring about buying one until I came across your post. You are doing a great service. You are a good man. 👍

What's difference between static and EMI

@Alexanderking static is when you have charge build-up. It's static electricity. Same thing you can get on the vinyl or in winter when sometimes you touch any metal object you get that shock sensation due to charge transfer.

EMI is completely different thing. It's the continuous noise which gets into the power lines which can come due to many things such as your LED lamps, refrigerators, Washing Machines, SMPS etc.

How can you tell the difference

If you have static then then it's discharge happens only once & it requires some place where the buildup happens and its discharge is one time event. Besides, Static is not transmitted through power-line, it's the EMI which gets transmitted through power-line.

Thank you. Nice to know. Yes then I probably had EMI. I solved it by getting a synergistic research powercell 8 and cords, although I'm thinking now an ecoflow probably could have done the job for a fraction of the price. I guess you live and learn.

its good to help others. Sometimes you have ton make costly mistakes to learn. Since you have ordered EcoFlow Delta 3...it will give you cleanest power possible. I had suggested one my friend to buy EcoFlow Delt 2 for his system & he was never so happy to have such a clean power.

Besides if you have an OCD then you can attach your SR Power Cell 8 to the output of EcoFlow to futher clean up the power. After all most of the Inverters in these battery power supply are SMPS which if not carefully designed or have any EMI filtering stage can prove to be noisy.

BTW I have posted a very long review/article on these power conditioners here, that might be interesting and educative post for you.

Ouch.

Didn't mean to direct that too generally. I've personally made a ton of ignorant comments, but I acknowledge them and learn. There are a lot of informed, smart audiophiles that I've learned a lot from. I think it's good to have an outlook that values education and trying new things outside of conventional knowledge.
