I pulled the plug and then plugged it in again - given I couldn't access the GUI to shut down more elegantly. This time I managed to get to the config page and set the CPU clock to 512MHz. The unit is more responsive now and I can access the GUI. I'm assuming SOtM support is in a different timezone than me in the UK - does someone appear at some point or is there another way to get support? My original post was authorised by someone several hours ago.

I'm now locked out of the GUI - I can't access it. I set it to 312MHz and 1000baseT and rebooted. It plays perfectly, but nothing I do lets me access the GUI. I've stopped Roon playing music, as advised in another post and I know I have the correct IP address, I just get a spinning wheel which never stops. It's not a major issue, I can just flash another firmware, but it's annoying. I'd love to be using the latest firmware, but not with half a minute of static every time the bitrate changes!

@stefano_mbp I'm using Roon. I've seen others mention the 'static' sound with the later firmware, but I've seen no solution. For the moment I'm happy with V0.5.51 - for me it has the benefits of V0.5.62 without the static. I did try uninstalling one service I don't use, but I got the spinning wheel for an hour, left my laptop connected overnight and in the morning it had gone back to the main Eunhasu menu, but the service I'd tried to uninstall was still there. I'm not sure I want to spend hours uninstalling the Roon service at this stage - unless it is the verified solution. Thank you for your suggestion. Hopefully I'll hear from SOtM about a definitive solution or maybe later firmware.

I have just flashed the SD card with V0.5.51 and the static has gone. No issues with changing between songs which have different bitrates.

I upgraded my sMS-200 mini Neo with the 0.5.62 firmware. I flashed an SD card and successfully booted the unit with the new card. Everything works and I have been able to try different CPU clock settings. However, no matter what I do I get what sounds like distortion or static for a minute or so every time the music I'm playing changes bitrate, say from 44.1KHz 16bit to 96KHz 24 bit. If I stay with one or the other, after initial static on boot-up I don't get it again, but as soon as I select a different album with a different bitrate, it happens again. I have to stop playing, the static continues for 20 seconds or so then stops and I get normal playback. I've played around with CPU clock settings and profiles, but it's still happening. I'm going to try the previous firmware, V0.5.51 to see if it's any better. For what it's worth, I'm playing through a Schiit Audio Bifrost 2/64 DAC. Any ideas?
