AurenderAmerica
@musicman1 Powerline adapters work great and are very convenient and easy to setup. You can also use a wifi extender like a TP link RE700x or a mesh device (if a node can be added to a current mesh system). As far as which one is "less noisy", i'm not sure, but the filtered lan port should help clean up some noise before entering the Aurender. Filtered ethernet switches and aftermarket ethernet cables can make differences, depending on the rest of your equipment and the listening environment. I can't guarantee the difference will be significant, but I've heard the benefits in my personal system. Sorry, I don't have experience with fiber but I usually try to avoid adapters/converters as much as possible. musicman1 1 Link to comment

I am currently using an Internet over Power adapter through my AC power lines to get internet. Obviously, this isn't a great solution but all I can do for now unless I just do all local playback from my hard drive. I know this adapter generates noise although it does actually sound pretty good through my system. I plugged one of my REL subwoofers into the AC passthrough on this adapter and had crazy hum in my sub. I know the N200 has double Galvanic isolation through the ethernet port but is this enough for my situation or could I possibly benefit from using some fiber isolation of some kind? I use a TP Link Ethernet Power-line adapter as well as REL. I’m not complaining about the sound. All my equipment are plugged to a Furutech e-TP80 and the REL is plugged directly to a separate line and fused source. The amplifier is connected via high level to the REL, and there’s no noise whatsoever. Link to comment

It was only when I tried plugging something into the AC passthrough on my TP LINK adapter. Very noticeable 60 hz hum on the REL sub. I just rearranged power cables and plugged in elsewhere and problem solved. I'm using a Puritan PSM-156 but it only has 8 outlets, so I need to prioritize what I use on it. I'm also using high level on both subs. Link to comment

The Aurender is already double isolated on the Ethernet port so I guess the question is will triple isolation give me audible improvements. They sell the IFI LAN Silencer on Amazon so I guess it would be an easy return if it makes no difference. Thanks for the suggestions. Link to comment

The improvement on my N200 using the ifi LAN Silencer was noticeable in my system. Your mileage may vary. My system is quite resolving in detail and I can always hear differences when trying different power cables and interconnects. I also use an Intona USB isolator to my DAC which also helps. Amazon is the way to go. musicman1 1 My System.pdf Link to comment

I understand these are different products for different purposes. Any reason you chose the Intona brand? I've never heard of this brand and it's made in Germany. I assume you saw some reviews? They were close, but the ifi LAN Silencer was an immediate definite improvement. The Intona I went back and forth with but finally decided I like the sound better with it in my system than without. The Intona was recommended by a well respected and knowledgeable member here (Miska). I also read some reviews and decided it was the one to try. Here is one: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/intona-7055-c-usb-3-0-superspeed-isolator.27263/reviews You will also find reviews that say don't bother with it like from ASR. They take a very objective approach to audio measurement. All that I can say is that in my system I liked what it did as far as providing a cleaner sound. musicman1 1 My System.pdf Link to comment
grubble
Has anyone had problems with Conductor v4 iPad app connecting to their N20? Tonight, the app sees the N20 and its IP address. When I tap on it to connect, the error measage is: "Unable to connect to selected device. Please try again after a few minutes." Meanwhile, my Android phone's Conductor app can connect just fine to my N20. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the iOS app to no avail. -dave Innuos ZENith Mk 2 > JCat USB > Kii Control > Kii Three Denon X6700H AVR > generic RCA-XLR > Kii Three GIK Room Treatments Link to comment

If it helps anyone else, I have a Firewall device on my network. The device "quarantined" my iPad for some odd reason. I didn't notice it until this morning and went to check my firewall UI (for an unrelated reason). So if you're running Firewall and something reset the device mapping within your firewall, double check any quarantine network zone first! ruudvde
Give each device in your network a fixed IP address. That's simply THE solution. This setting can actually always be found in every good router. grubble 1 Link to comment
Snail
@AurenderAmerica Hello, Finally, I ordered the Aurender A20 to replace the N200. I'll have it in a week. I hope I'll be happy! I'm wondering about the conductor 4 application: should I delete it and reinstall it or keep it and my new device will be recognized immediately? Thanks for your reply. Link to comment
Doug A
Can I use the N200 USB & coax digital outputs at the same time? Linestage could switch between the DACs for different music. Thanks, Doug A The N200 sounds far better than I thought possible. Amazing quality. Link to comment
