Nenon
Mine shipped today. I believe I had the last pair ordered. I don't know what I will do with those yet but wanted to have them, so I can try them in a future project. In other words, I won't be posting feedback anytime soon. lwr
My previous order of chokes from Martin took much longer to arrive than I had expected too. To save on shipping costs due to their high density heavy weight, Martin doesn’t ship them by FedEx, DHL, or other premium services. The only shipping I have ever experienced as slower is the free shipping from Ali Express in China. The chokes are definitely worth the wait! Popular Post Klubnikka
Hello to everyone here, I'm Martin Mug, aka Klubnikka. Sorry for my nickname (I won't explain, long story) I sent the last 3 people the chokes today. Some are lucky because they have already arrived, others are still waiting. The Dutch post says 6-12 days, but my experience tells me that it can be twice as long if you live far from the Netherlands. Premium service was possible, but only at a very high price. I'm curious about all your experiences with this new choke. The picture shows how to connect the choke. Use A and B. It doesn't matter which one you use as an input because the choke is wound symmetrically. Be careful that the different wires do not touch each other. Martin Mug p.s Making chokes and audio transformers is just an hobby from me. I am specialized in tube (output)transformers. Dev, LTG2010, Gavin1977 and 6 others 1 6 2 Link to comment

MarcelNL
so a good 2 weeks after most folks have been receiving theirs, how about some feedback ? meanwhile I'm going in a different direction with a dual xeon build after some mishap with my new MB, I will likely keep the LPSU as is. and just splat the sage MB in place of the current one ISP, glass to Fritz!box 5530, another Fritz!box 5530 for audio only in bridged mode on LPS, cat8.1, Zyxel switch on LPS, Finisar <1475BTL>Solarflare X2522-25G, external wifi AP, AMD 9 16 core, passive cooling ,Aorus Master x570, LPSU with Taiko ATX, 8Gb Apacer RAM, femto SSD on LPS, Pink Faun I2S ultra OCXO on akiko LPS, home grown RJ45 I2S cable, Metrum Adagio DAC3, RCA 70-A and Miyaima Zero for mono, G2 PL519 tube amps. My entire machine has mostly changed since installing the chokes but for the time that they were installed in the same exact system as the Mundorf inductors, I felt that the overall noise floor had dropped, the sound was more transparent and had more weight. There was a nice increase in bass articulation and control. In the end the sound was more dynamic in a good way. That being said, the difference going from Hammond 159zj to Mundorf VN180-10 was MUCH larger than going from Mundorf VN180-10 to Martin Mug choke. lwr, baconbrain, MarcelNL and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment

Jeremy Anderson
Hey y'all! Apologies for the "thread necro" but I'm finally getting around to building my ULPS and I've heard these are "the ones." I'm wondering if anyone has a pair of these sitting around on the shelf looking for a purpose in life and wants to pass them along to another DIYer for a consideration... or (failing that), if it's still possible to get Martin to make these? (Yes, I've already emailed Martin. I haven't heard back, but it's only been about 24 hours -- I figure I'd best exhaust my options here before engaging his services, should such be available). Jeremy Anderson
Ok, I heard back from Martin! He said: “[I need to order 40kg of flat wire ( minimum) from my supplier], so making 2 new chokes with about 2,2 kg copper each is economically a bad idea if there is left 35kg. ”At the moment only 2 other people are interested… 6 chokes total, which is still [too few] to buy new copper wire.” So, it seems we need 6 more people (9 total, or 18 chokes) to make ordering 1 spool of 40kg worthwhile (18kg * 2.2 = 39.6kg). If you missed out on these last time, now would be the best time to reach out to Martin and let him know ASAP! (And also please post here so we can all get a sense of how much interest there is in the next batch). Link to comment
