Gustard R26

Recommended Posts

Anyone know why there are so many Gustard R26 dacs for sale ?  When I search on audio sites there must be 10 to 15 listings selling this dac. Having gotten so many rave reviews why do so many people want to sell theirs? Any ideas?

There could be a few reasons why there are so many Gustard R26 DACs for sale.

1. Upgrade. Some people may be selling their Gustard R26 DACs because they have purchased a newer, higher-end DAC and no longer need the R26.

2. Change in Audio Setup. Others may be selling their DAC because they are changing their audio setup and no longer require the features or capabilities of the R26.

3. Financial Reasons. Some people may be selling their DAC due to financial reasons or needing to free up funds for other purchases.

4. Preference. While the Gustard R26 has received rave reviews, not every piece of equipment is suitable for every person's preferences or needs. Some may find that the sound signature or features of the R26 do not meet their expectations, prompting them to sell it.

5. It was the "Soup Du Jour' - meaning flavor of the day. Kind of like when the KEF LS50 came out then people started selling used ones, after a while.

I like the R26 - mine is going no where.

That’s it. They bought a Cyan II. And soon something else. The audiophile fashions are easy to spot.

Say NO to ROON

Added an AfterDark Emperor Double Crown external Master Clock to mine.  Turned it from sounding like a $3k+ DAC to a $10k+ DAC.  I am completely happy with mine!
